#1: Struggling for power above 30mph Author: markymark, Location: BlackburnPosted: Sat Jun 18, 2011 9:40 am ---- Hi all i'm a newbie to this site. I found it whilst googling a problem with my 206, but couldn't find a thread to match my problem.
I was driving on the motorway a couple of week ago, doing about 60mph when the car kind of lost power and was struggling to do 40. The car drives perfect up until the 35 mph mark or going up hills. (unless i have a bit of momentum) After search the internet for hours most people reckon its the Cataylic converter. Is this correct? It's a 1.1 2002 model. Any help would be much appreciated.

#3: Re: Struggling for power above 30mph Author: markymark, Location: BlackburnPosted: Sat Jun 18, 2011 10:04 am ---- how much am i look at for new piston rings?
forgot to mention when i do get to the 35 mark the accellerator pedal feels like it's making a ticking motion, if that makes sense.
#4: Re: Struggling for power above 30mph Author: Seabook, Posted: Sat Jun 18, 2011 10:14 am ---- limp mode.
need to get the code read.
did th EML light on?
#5: Re: Struggling for power above 30mph Author: markymark, Location: BlackburnPosted: Sat Jun 18, 2011 10:28 am ---- The EML didn't come on, but it was already on. It's said Anti Pollution fault for about 2 years now. The garage said he's checked the code on the computer for the anti pollution fault but it was fine. he reckoned it was a dodgy sensor. The anti pollution fault "eml" has since gone off.
