yea im looking at getting the roof done now anyway as it looks like something has put a dent in it in a previous life so have to get that smoothed out. im just dissapointed that the bodywork is so bad on him atm or i would have been able to get some of the work done by now.
#14: Re: The Blue 1.1 Author: anton7350, Location: Northern IrelandPosted: Fri Apr 13, 2012 10:43 am ---- Ok after some delay for repairs work has finally begun on the beast, to begin with i think some colour coded bumpers are a must so over the past couple of days this is what i have been up to:
starting to remove parts that have never been took off in his life, was quite difficult with all the rusted bolts ¬_¬
Bumper off just in the nic of time, now just to rub down over the night.
getting the bump strips primed up for colour
full bumper getting colour, there was a major repair done on the drivers side corner as there was a big crack and one of the brackets snapped so after some fibre glass and and a lick of paint ya wouldnt know
bump strips just about dried
the rear so far
not too bad for almost 3 days work just waiting on the front to dry and gonna de badge the rear as i type this, any other ideas are welcome but the black roof will be happening soon. Also anyone know any engine mods to get done while the head gasket is getting changed, im thinking about silicone hoses and painting the rocker cover.
