Newby - be gentle with me. w reg 206 RGarros. Original radio (2040 ?) and multifunction display (PPT30). Every time I use the car, I have to imput the code for the radio.Don't think it's the permanent live as I still have all the presets. My question is does anyone know if the code info is stored within the multi display or am I barking up the wrong tree ? Am sure one of you brainy sparkies can tell me before I wear out all my buttons ! Question Sad

I think the red or blue may have been a reference to Eastlands or Old Trafford area Ant. Or maybe in the confusion its Anfield or Goodison!

Correct about the Red/Blue ,Macca. There's only one City in the North - and it ain't L'pool!.
Back to the Pug - checked all fuses in o/s footwell and they're all good. Any other ideas?

You could try shifting fuse 24 in the engine bay fuse box so that it looks like in this thread: click

Thanks for that interesting link re fuse 24. I'll try it tom when hopefully it won't be pi**ing down ! Whilst on Audio probs, I now can't get anything on MW at all.( I've tried a different head unit with the same result ) Anyone know what the white wire running from the aerial base does. According to wiring diagram it goes to block 7 in the head unit but what does it actually do? Again, any help/suggestions greatly appreciated Question

Have the wires been messed with at all in the past? Most aftermarket stereos require you to switch the red and yellow wires around so maybe someone hasn't put these back as they should be when fitting the standard radio? Code is stored in the stereo.

No, wiring hasn't been tampered with. This is the second oem radio in the car.
