#1: Wobbles on left hand turns Author: johnjohn, Location: NorthumberlandPosted: Fri Jun 24, 2011 4:24 am ---- Hi - I have a strange problem on my '99 1.1 206. I bought it for commuting as I have a 70mile round trip and I love it, so economical its untrue.
However, it has a strange problem - if I turn a left hand corner, the car "wobbles", exaggerated if I am accelerating. If I turn a right-hand corner, everything is fine! If I put the car on full right lock, it clicks, suggesting CV/driveshaft, but I haven't heard of a driveshaft causing a car to wobble?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A driveshaft would cause the car to wobble i had the same problem in my old car, so looks like its going to need a new driveshaft buddy.

Do you think it would be nearside or offside driveshaft? On full right lock it sounds like the offside is clicking.
I've seen them for sale on ebay and doesn't look too difficult a job to do.

Take it to your local garage and get them to have a look they will tell you in minutes and in the long run it will probably save you money.
#5: Re: Wobbles on left hand turns Author: johnjohn, Location: NorthumberlandPosted: Tue Jul 05, 2011 8:53 am ---- I had an opportunity to have a look at the passenger side drive shaft over the weekend and could do with a little advice. the drive shaft was not fully pushed in to the gear box, so I tried to push it in further. I didnt seem to get it to move (or very little), however this has now helped in curing the wobble to a degree. I was windering if i should try pushing in harder using a bar or something? I couldn't see any bolts securing the driveshaft to the gearbox at all, do they use a pin system to hold them in? All the rubbers looked fine.
