a couple of quick queries that I'm sure you can help me with.
1) how much lower does the gti 180 sit compared to the gti 138?
2) thinking about sticking some vortexes on my gti 138, anybody done this and does it look ok? knowing that the 138 sits a bit higher i don't want it looking a bit silly sitting on wagon wheels. I know the total diameter with tyres will be 5mm more so should fill the arch a bit more, though that'll be negligible.

My 1.6, standard height with vortexs.
So its up to you if you think yours will look ok or not.

cool, cheers mate! Was just being a bit paranoid. Didn't wanna fork out some cash on the rims then be a bit disappointed with it.

Really? the total diameter is only a 5mm increase so I can't see how it can look any worse than the nimrods.
you don't have any photos of the vortexes with standard suspension do you?

I wouldn't say "gash" but I agree that both the 180 and 138 sit too high as standard. But i don't wanna mess up the ride.
Plus, I've seen some lowered badly and they look worse than gash!!!

by the way, are vortex and atlantis wheels the same? I thought they were but had different names because the atlantis was on a different model pug.
