I thought that they would be heavier but when i got a Vortex in one hand and a Nimrod in the other the vortex's are quite a bit lighter.

So as I said, unless my information was given to me false, the Nimrods were what I ended up with, because they were lighter.

GTi alloys: with tyres 17.13KGs
GTi 180 alloys: with tyres 15.008kgs
Just checked this on our weight machine at work and confirmed it with the O/E spec on Servicebox.
