#20: Re: Buying advice (1.4 HDi) Author: adsayer, Location: NorthallertonPosted: Mon Aug 22, 2011 7:17 am ---- Sorry to bump an old thread but we've now got a 1.4 hdi 206 and whilst the body work is tatty the engine is fantastic, it's surprisingly quicker than the 1.1 and it managed about 400 miles to half a tank. It was bought 2 weeks ago but I hadn't a chance to actually drive the car myself since, however I got a couple of hundred miles done at the weekend.
As a few people mentioned in this thread about things to look out for the crank pulley was knackered so we replaced it with an alloy one. Other than a few minor niggles it's brill. So thanks for the help!
