#1: Battery light Author: Abzynthe, Posted: Thu Aug 04, 2011 7:33 am ---- This may be really simple, but I want to make sure before I go to a garage.
Basically my battery light comes on when the engine is on and stays on until I go over 2k revs then it goes off, but as soon as I brake or go under 2k revs the light comes back on again.
Is this just that the battery needs charging? It started just after a 2hr drive up to buxton so I would have thought the alternator would have charged it? :S

Its a long shot but maybe the alternators weak and its not charging efficiantly below 2k rpm?
#3: Re: Battery light Author: Abzynthe, Posted: Thu Aug 04, 2011 7:39 am ---- maybe, it doesnt struggle to start or anything and all the electrics work fine without the engine running.

Seems to have sorted it out at the moment. But I had the aux belt changed in June, so shouldnt be slipping.

#13: Re: Battery light Author: Abzynthe, Posted: Tue Aug 09, 2011 9:48 am ---- I hope so, I paid for a garage to fit it. If it comes back i'll take it back to the garage to have a look.
