did have that in mind lee,but mot place advised against it,something about new mot requirements for cars with the particulate filters fitted coming in soon.mind you fluid £25 my time zilch and purchase of pp probably a good investment as one of my cars is looking like a Christmas tree on the dash.would have preferred to get rid of though.

You should be able to buy a replica pipe so that it looks like you have a DPF.
