replace cv joint i can do

whats the brake load sensing valve and where is it ?

its got a big metal cone on it just now so will removing that going back to the original box make any difference ? think it was 0.41% out..anybody any other ideas on whats the cause of this if doing the above dont work ?

1, it's just the rubber there like £5 put a new one on.

2, load sensor is I think on the back axle it's a little box with 2 springs just lube them up an give it a wriggle till it's free (if I remember correctly)

3, change the filter, if not then a good service, if not new cat

An the rest you seem to have sorted Smile

The brake valve is on the back axle at one side. Follow your brake pipes to the end and that is it. I just replaced mine, cost me £5 from a scrap yard. You may be able to free it if you soak it with brake cleaner or even better brake fluid, just don't get brake fluid on your paint.

Give her a good oil and filter change and airfilter and maybe plugs, its also worth using premium fuel next time as it cleaner burning

Or a leaky exhaust pipe somewhere. Look for the simple fixes first rather than the expensive ones.

I always find that putting in some redex fuel treatment, topping it up with V power or the likes, then taking the car for a good spanking sorts out the emissions.

Or getting the MOT tester to keep his foot on the accelerator while its being tested Laughing

The brake valve use a hammer as penetrating fluid to free it up common fault

001 offside front constant velocity joint gaiter split

new boot have to pop the shaft out of the drive hub to fit

002 brake load sensing valve linkage seized

plenty of wd40/oil and just work it back and forth should free up they normally do

003 exhaust emissions lambda reading after 2nd fast idle outside specified limits

as its just the lamda and the co waas obviously ok i would say you just have an exhaust leak
somewhere get a friend to hold a rag over the tailpipe and then listen for the hissing if its small plug
it with exhaust paste if not replace the clamp/pipe thats leaking

004 nearside rear road wheelbead rim badly distorted
swap the wheel remember each axle must have the same sized wheel/tyre fitted

005 parking brake efficiency below requirements
probably just the cables have stretched can be adjusted very simply if not check the levers on rear
calipers are operating correctly/equally

No need to take the driveshaft out. Buy a split CVJ boot kit. It comes with adhesive, clips and trimming knife (if you need it)

Takes about 5-10 minutes to fit once car is off the ground. As long as you do it properly, it will pass the MOT for a good few years.
