My car randomly indicates left whenever it feels like it Sad anyone come across this problem before? Help appreciated!

poss a new stalk??

maybe a new comms unit if they cant be fixed on there own? all depending on if it multiplexed or not????

Quite common.. You could try and give the internals a clean, there's a How-to somewhere, failing that it's a new stalk if its non-plexed, or a new com if its plexed AFAIK.

Ent got a clue if its plexed or not, I pulled it off n cleaned the connections n it's still doing it! Hopefully I keep the stalks at work so I can jus try it to see! Lol. How doni know if it's plexed of not Ste?

if its multiplex it will have this radio stalk ....

 


if its preplex pm lee he may have a stalk to fit your gti Razz

^ What Mr.Ben said, Steve, IIRC I 'think' yours is pre/non-plexed as I'm sure I saw the older radio stalk when I looked around your car at USC.

lee came and fitted a stalk for me today!

as i needed a modified stalk so i can use crystals/angel eyes Very Happy

he is really good and is a good lad...

I had same problem mate u had today in my 2000 GTI non PLexed indicator would stay on left for ages drove me insane. So i popped down and got a torx set undo the 2 nuts underneath the steering column and take it out then 2 screws on indicator. All i did today was took the indicator out a litle bit and blew the hell out of it and for some reason it now works !! LMAO

Yeah it was makign a wierd high pitched noise as well until i fixed it maybe a short circuit ?
