If it is possibly the Airbag ECU, can it be replaced with a used part without needing reprogramming? I have looked at the numbers on the unit and if it is a straight swap out what number needs to be the same as the one I have fitted.
also how do I access the connectors on the passenger airbags to make sure there is nothing amiss there.
Cheers for all the help so far folks.
As you are multiplexed there is basically only 2 airbag ecu's.
You need the type for front & side airbags, its the configuration of the unit thats the key.
Go by the Autolive id number which I guess will be 600 23 70 00
If the unit came from a car with curtain airbags it will throw up a fault until tweaked.
You checked the dash airbag keyswitch?
Very rare for a multiplexed 206 to have an airbag fault other then the typical com unit failure.

Author: TonyF, Location: EssexPosted: Sun Sep 18, 2011 11:04 am ---- I checked the dash airbag switch with a multitester (after removing it) Should it be either an open or closed switch. Reason I ask is I'm getting about 80 ohms in one possition and 120 ohms in the other. don't seem right that, so ordered a new switch today.

Good afternoon friend,
I am exactly with the same problem!
How did you solve it?
