#1: Seat Ibiza Author: DanPug206, Location: BirminghamPosted: Mon Oct 03, 2011 6:25 am ---- After the 206 decided his time was nearly up, I went out looking for a new car, was looking for around for a newer car that had been looked after and would last me a couple of years with little or no faults
Went to motorhouse in cannock and had a look at a polo 56 plate 40,000 miles but 1 stamp in the service history and only one MOT to hand I decided against it
My dad had a skoda superb 2.5 v6 at the time and on it's sat nav it brings up local skoda dealers and approved dealerships
Around the corner from motorhouse is a skoda/Suzuki autosales dealership to see if they had an older shape fabia 130 VRs
First I seen a Renault Twingo GT 1.2 TCe 100 BHP 58 plate 19,000 but
nearly £7,000
And no fabia VRS'
And I didn't fancy a Suzuki on the front they had an Ibiza so we had a look it was very clean inside and out
Not a mark on the alloys
And it was only a 1.2 reference Sport on a 08 plate priced at 5,699
I had my iPad with me and got a qoute on insurance
19 2years no claims 3 points fully comp £1600
Compared to £2,200 TPFT mods declared on my 1.4 1999 peugeot 206
Spoke to The guy and took it for a test drive, was so quite compared to the Peugeot I even asked the guy if it was desiel lol
Only a 1.2 but is still quite nippy
So after the test drive we decided to talk the price
Told him the details of my car
125k on the clock etc...etc
He says book price is £350 LOL
But he said he could do me the car for £4800 +plus mine
So he basically gave me nearly £900 for mine after I took my alloys off , cd player bonnet vent ph2 bootstrip sub and amp, 6x9's, etc
So wasn't a bad price considering.
Got the car a week after
Been serviced 4 times on 37,300 miles now and they taxed it for 6months and it's got 12 months MOT swell.
Had a mate who had one previously and sold it but had some bits and bobs in his garage still
One mirror cap was scratched like it had been hit by a passing car
So I bought Genuine FR mirror Caps for £15 not a bad price
Genuine Ibiza FR mats
£20
Got headlight protectors for both front headlights and engine cover for the winter, unsure what the cover does but he said it makes the engine quiter and help it warm up faster in the winter
The engine cover is clipped onto the under side of the bonnet
Cost me £15 for the both
Ordered a seatcupra.net sticker from seat forum for £1.50
Going to leave it how it is for now, then get some new alloys maybe some Cupra alloys and get them sprayed gunmetal grey or red
And getbmy other mirror caps red to match not sure yet tho
See how things go

Couldnt agree more.....
Nice cars the Ibiza but you did get the wrong colour should of been yellow
I would of loved a yellow one, I didn't go out for an Ibiza but came across this one,
If I had a yellow one, black Cupra alloys
Black roof
Slight tints
Maybe I'll get a yellow LCR after this, insurance is killing me off tho.
I could of got a decent condition one for £5k.
Couldnt afford the £5k on insurance haha
£40 full tank in the Ibiza tho can't complain
Was around £56 in my 206!!
