#1: Rear Bouncy! Author: Razpulsedj, Location: Partying with the Info ShufflersPosted: Wed Oct 05, 2011 8:26 am ---- Not that long ago i changed my rear shocks from standard to some raceland ones since id just got my car lowered and it was scraping quite badly
So once they were fitted the car was fine but recently with only 3 people in it always scrapes when weight is put on the rear drivers side wheel
Also you can grab hold of the alloy and rock back and fourth with your hands and the car bounces really badly, so therefore with people in its really low
I dont know if i need stiffer shocks or what....
Thanks guys

How you mean?
#10: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: coopskin, Location: Hull, East YorkshirePosted: Wed Oct 05, 2011 10:08 am ---- sounds like very very very stiff shocks to me!
#11: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: DanPug206, Location: BirminghamPosted: Wed Oct 05, 2011 11:16 am ---- Could be your rear axle gone
#12: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: Razpulsedj, Location: Partying with the Info ShufflersPosted: Wed Oct 05, 2011 5:43 pm ---- Ill upload a video tommorow with me moving the rear by rocking wheel, its so easy and bouncy
#13: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: Razpulsedj, Location: Partying with the Info ShufflersPosted: Sat Oct 08, 2011 6:11 am ---- Yesterday i had 5 people in my car and it was always scraping so went down to 4 people and only the right rear was still scraping, even with just 1 person in back on left the right scrapes, its really bouncy
Any ideas?
#14: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: creamy69, Location: dorsetPosted: Sat Oct 08, 2011 10:34 am ---- sounds to me like your rear axles f**ked, my old car sat lower on one side and the wheel bounced as well, thats what happens when u lower your car lol
#15: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: Seabook, Posted: Sat Oct 08, 2011 10:43 am ---- with thicker bar there is no way you will scrap.
#16: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: paul_c, Location: UKPosted: Sat Oct 08, 2011 11:08 am ---- Did you initialise the shocks?

Have no idea what you mean?
Noob with suspension, awesome with visuals lols
#18: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: paul_c, Location: UKPosted: Mon Oct 10, 2011 2:05 pm ---- Push and pull the shocks through their full extent of their length about 10 times. If they need it, these instructions normally come on a little slip of paper or pamphlet included with them. Have a good look through the packaging.
#19: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: Razpulsedj, Location: Partying with the Info ShufflersPosted: Mon Oct 10, 2011 2:55 pm ---- They diddnt come in any packaging mate as the person who i bought from took then out and then decided to sell but diddnt have original packaging
So what you recommend? Taking off and testing them?
#20: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: paul_c, Location: UKPosted: Mon Oct 10, 2011 2:59 pm ---- No, taking them off and initialising them.
#21: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: Razpulsedj, Location: Partying with the Info ShufflersPosted: Mon Oct 10, 2011 3:23 pm ---- Yeah so taking off and fully extending and closing
Just hope thats all after reading what some other members have wrote lol
Any tips for initialising them? Pull and push? Lol
#22: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: paul_c, Location: UKPosted: Mon Oct 10, 2011 3:37 pm ---- Might be too late, and in any case Raceland have a reputation as a poor brand, so they may be too soft anyway even if fully working. Or it could be simply that you have the car lowered too much, or inappropriate wheels/tyres fitted.
Worth a try though, given it costs £0?
#23: Re: Rear Bouncy! Author: Razpulsedj, Location: Partying with the Info ShufflersPosted: Tue Oct 18, 2011 6:19 am ---- Upon inspection the shocks i installed are taking far too long to extend back out meaning they have had it, only installed them new not long ago though.....
New shocks and going to higher the car slightly i think
