Clutch Issues

So over the last couple of days my biting point has been extremely inconsistent, to the point where the actual clutch gave up and started slipping, rendering the car undrivable.

I had AA roadside recovery and was recovered to a garage. I've had the clutch replaced to the tune of £390... £120 parts (the rest labour) I think thats pretty steep to be fair.

The question is, my clock says 66,000 miles, how long do clutches usually last, as I'm starting to think this isn't genuine mileage.

They vary depending on how you drive the car, all I know is that when my 180 was on 43000 when I had mine done noticed a stamp on the old kit that stated it was made in 2008 and meaning it only don't 23000 miles on. Clutch in just under 3 years

Depends on your driving style and where normally you drive (more wear and tear on city driving).

Make sure u put in branded clutch kit set like LUK or valeo, might cost u more compare to some cheap clutch kit but will save u a lot more on long run consider labour charge is very expensive in uk.

I would say 300+ consider a reasonable charge with branded clucth kit.

One of the vans at my work needed a new clutch after 20,000 miles. As above it depends on how its driven.

Whats been said above is correct, ive seen worn out clutches on 20,000 miles. Ive also seen a 307 with 180,000 miles still using the original clutch!
