#4: Re: heater blower/climate control Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sat Oct 08, 2011 7:46 am ---- Definately needs a new fan. Mine behaved in an identical manner. Buying a new fan solved the problem. No point getting a 2nd hand fan. Fan is specific to cars with climate control.
#5: Re: heater blower/climate control Author: A18NHH, Location: MiddlesbroughPosted: Sat Oct 08, 2011 10:23 am ---- i found a fan from anoother 206 GTi with climate control - 2nd hand pair £25 and like i say still have no problems with it now
#6: Re: heater blower/climate control Author: ronnie, Location: LanarksPosted: Mon Oct 24, 2011 2:51 pm ---- is this the same blower motor for a Y-reg 206cc 2.0ltr
I think I have the same problem as original poster
Is the blower motor controled by a + and - buttom?
Our 1.6 206cc has a switch so it is a bit different
Did you ever get it sorted?
#7: Re: heater blower/climate control Author: ronnie, Location: LanarksPosted: Thu Oct 27, 2011 9:31 am ---- It is the blower motor resistor
Just sorted mine with a brand new resistor from e-bay £40
It is from a 307 but it works fine.
30 minute job to remove the motor unit ,replace the resistor and then install back in the car.
Remove glove box and housing with 7 torx screws and then twist off the blower unit complete.
Hardest part was pressing off the blower fan cage as I was worried it would break.
Easy fix.
Hope this helps others
Ronnie

No it's not because the cars with climate control don't have a resistor for the fan.

#10: Re: heater blower/climate control Author: djaydearz, Location: UKPosted: Mon Nov 14, 2011 11:19 am ---- Hi all, sorry for the bump thread
I have a 2002, 206 1.4lx
My fan only works on setting 4, looking into other posts, it seems to be the motor or more probable, the resistor iteself.
My problem is that i can't for the life of me work out how to remove the blower motor. People say just turn it clockwise/anticlockwise (mixed instructions there) but i can't get it to budge the slightest
(I have removed the 1 screw in it) but its so awkward i can barely get my hands in the gaps!)
