#1: millage jumped ......... Author: mjsroofing, Location: south wales PostPosted: Thu Oct 27, 2011 1:20 pm
    ----
i've been watching the millage to see what mpg its doing.

i zero the millage after filling up ( £60 ), last i looked it was on 470 ish miles with quarter of a tank left ( not bad ) day or two later jumps in car looks over and tank is on half way to quarter and millage is on just over 800 miles, now there's no way my misses has done that amount of millage in that time and dont think the car could do thus millage on that amount of fuel.
could the millage jump 200 miles.?? i'm guessing when it was about to turn over to 500 miles it jumped too 700 ( the misses said she seen it on seven hundred and something.) is this possible and what would cause this?????

i dont think my misses went through the computer and changed it from miles to kilometres, unless she hit a button by mistake while doing something else.

Yes, BSI software update will fix it, known BSI bug that was fixed 5+ years ago.

maybe you need a service or to unweld your foot off the accelerator! 40 squid would get me over 200 miles in my 1.6 quite easily
