Found this just hanging behind my center console, erm what does it do and where should it be??

It looks to me to be very similar to the air con tempreture sensor in my 306 except mine is in the interior light. Makes itself very noticeable when it is on as it sounds like a small jet engine.

Ive never heard of a footwell fan (only heater fans), where are they on a 206?
