looking at it its an earth?? but there is nothing i can see that it connects to or earths too Confused

Is it the earth for the cooling fan? Is this on the right hand side of the engine bay?

i.e. this?

its to the left side as you look at the engine, comes up from the same loom that has the alternator cable in etc.

If the numbers on the wire start with MC then it's a earth, if it doesn't then it's something else.

Well it should be with it being like that.

MC = Earth to body work
MM = Earth to battery
ME = Earth linked to ECU

just to let you know its something to do with alternator i think, as my alternator is faulty (found out today) when it connected to earth the batt light on dash shows when car is running but dont show when its not connected earth. Very Happy

That reminds me to take a photo, In front of my sump I have some wires that don't go anywhere. Looks like they have been chopped Confused

Will go on the 8/10mm bolt on the alternator then.

Took it forgranted the alternator was wired up Laughing
