#1: Wow, i guess 206 safety isn't too bad! Author: shaker, Location: AustriaPosted: Sun Nov 13, 2011 9:20 pm ---- Just saw this in a danish newspaper, how they escaped without any major injury is beyong my understanding!
2 people in the car, age 19 and 21, driving too fast on the dual carrigeway, realise they are about to miss their exit and swirve across, only to loose control of the car, hitting a ditch, flying about 50 meters, landing and rolling the car and pretty much walk away without any serious injury.. lucky or what!
And no, i don't think it'll t-cut out, i know it's gonna be mentioned lol!

My friend almost missed his exit once and did the same thing. Swerved and jumped a good distance over a verge. To this day I still don't know how he didn't crash!

Just lucky they didn't kill anyone else let alone themselves

Crawled away on hands & knees maybe.

Something along the lines of low centre of gravity.

#15: Re: Wow, i guess 206 safety isn't too bad! Author: gazza82, Location: South BucksPosted: Mon Nov 14, 2011 11:33 am ---- Saw a 206 on it's roof on M4 a couple years back. Looks like they put a wheel in the centre section (gravel) and flipped. Skidded along tarmac for some distance judging by the scrape marks on the tarmac.
Caused a two and half hour delay between Junc 8/9 and 10 ... for me anyway. Any it was a hot day and the a/c wasn't working. Instead of being at a client, had meeting on hands-free. So I basically crawled up that section of motorway only to turn around and go home again!
Still gives me a bit of confidence in the fact we have a 1.4 HDi for my 17 y o son when he passes and daughter has a 206CC.

Lol, 206 is 4 star NCAP is it not? Pretty good for a 12year old car.
#19: Re: Wow, i guess 206 safety isn't too bad! Author: shaker, Location: AustriaPosted: Tue Nov 15, 2011 12:05 am ---- The car in the pictures does have sideskirts
But can't deny that they are morons in going for that exit and not just take the next and turn around!

I know, unfortunately. Saw a picture of a RC once, didn't look too bad but the driver didn't make it
I guess it all comes down to alot of different little things in the end.
But in general i feel these cars are fairly safe
Best of luck for your niece's friend!

Maybe the typical "chav-style" driving saved them, as in they were pretty much lying down? But no idea TBH
