here is mine... 110BHP / 1553KG x 1000 = 70.83BHP per tonne
so it is BHP divided by weight in KG's then multiply by 1000 to get your figure
edit - i got the weight of the car wrong, its actually1088KG

Where does the 1553 kg come from?
Kerb weight of the XSI isnt anything like that.

Although not entirely accurate as i doubt i have 197 bhp and it doesnt weigh 1240 anymore
