#1: oil light and warning light flashing but oil is full Author: gavlar83, Location: walsallPosted: Sat Dec 03, 2011 7:19 am ---- hi i have a 2004 206 S,and a few days ago the stop warning light and the oil light started flashing,i took the car to my step borthers garage and he said the oil is full and he cant see any problems,i was thinking it might be the computer telling the car its empyt as the right door open warning comes on now and then so i was thinkin it might be related,my brother does not do electrics so i was wondering if anyone on here can help.just to add when i turn the ignition on the oil gauge is saying the car is full

Has it got a genuine Peugeot or Purflux oil filter fitted?
Also open the bonnet & check the oil level with the dipstick, the dash gauge likes to tell lies.

Check / clean the connector plug, see if that helps.
If it doesnt then change the switch.

i thought the oil light was to say if u needed oil or not,not oil pressure?but im not to sure :)ill have to take it somewhere now as my usual mechanic cant do it till next week and i dont no where the oil switch is

Oil is the blood of your car. If you cut a vein in your arm, you aren't going to be 100% are you?

i get what your saying,can it still be damaged when the oil is full?also if it is damaged what kind of damage am i looking at?
