ALL UK spec 206's came with at least a drivers airbag & seatbelt pretensioners.
Check the bulb in the instrument panel hasnt blown or been removed
You need to fix it ASAP as the mot test will fail it from 2012 if the airbag light is missing / on all the time / doesnt go through correct check sequence.

#5: Re: Steering wheel airbag ? Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Thu Dec 15, 2011 3:54 pm ---- The non plexed 206 airbag system is pretty basic.
Only faults you hear of are dodgy electrical connections & rarely when the rotary switch fails the drivers airbag can be fired when the horn push is operated, i've heard of 2 doing this so far over the years

Yes, as the airbag wont be fitted so it will be an automatic mot fail.
Most people on here would rather have the working airbag system as it does a good job
Pop the instrument cluster out & check / replace the bulb for the airbag warning light & see if the system is working correctly.

#9: Re: Steering wheel airbag ? Author: gazza82, Location: South BucksPosted: Thu Dec 15, 2011 5:07 pm ---- They will from next April .... all warning lights will mean a fail. No cat, fail.
#10: Re: Steering wheel airbag ? Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Thu Dec 15, 2011 5:12 pm ---- Depends where you have it mot'd.....
#11: Re: Steering wheel airbag ? Author: twitch169, Location: lincolnPosted: Fri Dec 16, 2011 2:21 am ---- No airbag light on dash tho so cart fail it because it not on
#12: Re: Steering wheel airbag ? Author: iainlovatt, Posted: Fri Dec 16, 2011 5:43 am ---- i would say the bulb has been taken out because it kept flashing at the previous driver!

Yeah but it should come on for the systems check
#14: Re: Steering wheel airbag ? Author: gazza82, Location: South BucksPosted: Fri Dec 16, 2011 7:34 am ---- And if it doesn't comeon during the test check ... MOT fail from next April as well ...
And OK Lee, depends who does it, but then I tend to get mine done by a legit and honest tester! And if you get it down BEFORE April, it will pass and you have another year to worry about it!
