Yokohama paradas atm and there ok but in the wet their not. The best to be honest!!! Anyone know what the best tyre or a good all round tyre ? Thanks nath.
#2: Re: best tyres for gti 180 Author: L5_UKS, Location: West MidlandsPosted: Sun Jan 01, 2012 11:25 am ---- Toyo Proxes T1R's

1st Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 2
2nd Michelin Pilot Sport 3
3rd Pirelli P Zero
New / tyres with the most tread should ALWAYS be fitted to the REAR axle
#5: Re: best tyres for gti 180 Author: D4NTP, Location: Not Leeds or its surrounding areas!Posted: Sun Jan 01, 2012 12:55 pm ---- Tyre tests aren't great as they only test tyres on a specific car. I used F1s on my TF and they were great, put them on my corolla and they were shocking, put p zeros on and it was spot on.
As for always putting new on the back...meh, so long as you understand what grip you have and where, its irrelevant.
#6: Re: best tyres for gti 180 Author: rttam, Location: devonPosted: Sun Jan 01, 2012 1:09 pm ---- always had pirellis on mine had numerous sets of the pzero and have been really impressed with the handling in the dry and wet and the wear isnt too bad on them either

Pilot Exalto PE2's at the moment.
Over the years i've found:
Not a fan of Pirelli after there crappy P6000's.
Goodyear's wear out far to fast & puncher easily.
Bridgestone & Firestone, not impressed with the levels of grip provided from either make.
Dunlop = usless in wet.

You'd be better off running the car with no tires than with ZZ3's lol.
I dont think you can get the P7000 any more, personally id go for the Michelin PE3 or Conti Sport Contact 3...quite pricy though.

No, because if you have kerbing on one wheel (usually the passengers front), you don't wanna risk kerbing every wheel
I love spec 2's, never had a problem with them except the snow but not many tyres are good in that weather!

Wheels from the back with the partly worn tyres get balanced & moved to the front.
Your only ever replacing 2 tyres at a time which go on the rear axle.
still think this is a load of s**t, and in that video she forces the oversteer pretty obv,
my fronts which are 3-4mm which are now on the rear and no oversteer or the back end causing me too spin out or not been able to take corners in the wet at the same speed as the dry

Having said that they do let go progressively and its always understeer (I've swapped back/fronts around)... might be something to do with that diesel lump over the front wheels mind...
I'd have them again. In comparison to the Pirelli P6000s I had before (different wheels), they're different class.
Found Toyo T1Rs to behave similarly (to Paradas) on a past car, best I've had was Uniroyal RainSport 2s, not sure if you can get them in this size though.
