Hi Guys, new to the forum in hope of some good advice. I have a 2006 1.4i 206 sport which is behaving badly when cold. Will start then cut out and seems to have a lack of power until engine warms a little bit. Runs fine when warm or in warmer weather. Any ideas ? I don't fancy taking it down to Peugeot to be ripped off again. Having a little knowledge I'm guessing its related to the ECU or a sensor, (at which point I'm lost)!! Any help appreciated. Car only done 39k miles and well serviced etc. Also I might be imagining it but I'm sure its using more fuel than norm, but could be wrong on this, getting about 130 miles to £20 worth, not sure if that's average or not ???

Ali.

Coolant temp sensor would be worth looking at / replacing.

Would a fault with the ECT sensor throw out a fault code on diagnostics ? Peugeot found no fault code and billed me a pretty sum. Demonstrating the fault is hard as it only does it 1st thing when cold and they had it indoors overnight so it didn't do it. They gave me the daft blonde talk....did you slip your foot off the clutch haha....errr NO but cheers for the big invoice anyway !!

Really need to read the live data.

The coolant temp sensor is known to fail & still be within operating limits so it wont throw a code.
