#1: Ideas For Modding My 206 Author: PaddyC, Location: Ireland PostPosted: Fri Jan 27, 2012 6:46 am
    ----
I have a 'Cypress' Green 206 (paint code is KQM and has pearlescent paint) and am currently deciding on what sort of mods I can do to it. Since I got it I have changed the standard tyres and crappy hub caps to a proper set of alloys, changed the rear standard lights for black Lexus lights and have changed my MFD to a multi-line one! But what else can I do to improving it's look. I would like to change the headlights, but what type should I go for, and should I go for black ones or try and get ones painted the same colour as the car? What about colour coding the interior/exterior? I don't know what to do or what would look good. I don't want to be puting stuff on it that looks s**t!

I'm in work at the moment so can't post any pictures but will try and get some up later if it helps anyone suggest anything for me. Thanks for any suggestions! Very Happy

Its his fault though, he made a p***k of himself and no one lets him forget it.

To be fair the 20619d can take it, and he doesn't really care what people think, if he did he wouldn't post up pics all the time, at least he cleans it Smile

he does get too much stick to be fair, and besides, i'd rather come on here and see him do something interesting than trawl through endless boring threads of people fitting nimrods and making gti replicas

I don't think I'll be doing anything quite as extreme as that other guy, but each to their own. If he likes it, fair play to him, it is him that has to drive around in it after all!

OK, I went out and got some quick pictures there, it's raining so they're not the best but will give you an idea of what I'm working with here!

One thing it does need is a damn good wash and polish, but apart from that, what would you suggest?

Needs sports bumpers, a spoiler, decent front and rear lights, mouldings spraying, either lowering or bigger alloys, better interior, remapping, an exhaust, light smoke tints.

I don't recall anybody deliberately trying to offend Mr 20619d. There is a difference between directly abusing somebody and simply criticising what they have done to a car.

If I had that much money to spare I wouldn't be spending it on the car, believe me!

I've got a W reg three door GLX in this exact colour. Try colour coding your mirror caps. Also, remove the black B pillar vinyl, looks so much better in my opinion. Consider a debadge too. (Do the B pillar and debadge at same time, both are similiar techniques, hairdryer and soap!) Smile

Wind deflectors can look pretty good on the 5 door.

GLX_laney - How did you do this? Did you colour them yourself of did you find wing mirrors in the same colour somewhere? If you painted them, where did you get the paint from? Do you have any pictures of what your car looks like now?

Wind deflectors are a good idea, was actually thinking about getting them. Where would be the best / cheapest place to get them I wonder?

The wing mirrors were already done out of the factory as far as i'm aware mate. Sorry to be no help! I'd imagine it would be a simple sand/prime/sand/prime/sand/spray/lacquer etc?

Can anyone help us out?
