I have been using super for the last 4 years in my 400 bhp gt4 so hoping to make alot less trips to my petrol station in the 180. That bloody thing loved a drink.
#6: Re: Super or normal unleaded? Author: millerman, Location: KentPosted: Thu Feb 02, 2012 12:44 am ---- I also use super in my 300bhp Saab, dont really see the need to put super in a 180, unless you're gonna go down the Turbo route.
#7: Re: Super or normal unleaded? Author: m4tth3w, Location: sheffieldPosted: Thu Feb 02, 2012 1:35 am ---- I get around 30 miles less to a tank with super and power doesn't feel any different to regular.
That's on a 138 gti
Fuels expensive enough without paying a premium for that s**t!.

Thorney were also biased as they were sponsored by Tesco, in my eyes that can taint reports like that.
In an NA engine, don't bother with super, it's a waste. Forced induction, then yes, it can help a little bit.
