Good quality double sided tape?

Yes that double sided sticky tape is good. In halfords they have a roll that's about the same width as the sill plates. It's double sided tape but foamy but not too thick so that they don't sit flush against the car. That's all I did to one of mine and it's defiantly stuck. I wouldn't tiger seal it if I were you.

Oh and as for getting the original tape off the back good luck with that lol, I spent hours taking it off! That stuff sticks well to the metal on the back. Will probably be the original tape. Well In the end I managed to get it off with a blunt knife (did leave a few scratches but who cares about he back) and some nail varnish remover got the glue off no problem Very Happy
