#1: Best way to fit kick plates to my car Author: danlouiee, Location: Plymouth, DevonPosted: Fri Feb 03, 2012 7:34 pm ---- I bought some genuine 206 GTI kick plates on eBay and have still got some adhesive on the back..however I am unsure how to stick these to the car? Any suggestions?

In halfords they have a roll that's about the same width as the sill plates. It's double sided tape but foamy but not too thick so that they don't sit flush against the car. That's all I did to one of mine and it's defiantly stuck. I wouldn't tiger seal it if I were you.

That stuff sticks well to the metal on the back. Will probably be the original tape. Well In the end I managed to get it off with a blunt knife (did leave a few scratches but who cares about he back) and some nail varnish remover got the glue off no problem
