Putting some new lights on, passengers side had a wing nut for the light, nice and easy,

but the drivers has this crazy thing and I cant get it off for the life of me!

Any ideas?

push against the light while you turn it it will come off. That is the correct fixing. Someone has had the other one off before and lost it, replacing it with a normal nut by the sound of it.

If struggling, get some long nosed pliers on it.

Didnt think of trying that one!! It was late and I was stood outside in the cold! Smile Ill give it a try in the morning, if im feeling adventorous - before work.... dont wanna drive in with 2 odd clusters LOL

push the light in and then turn it by hand, shouldn't be too hard.

looks as though the original 'wings' have been snapped off.. as Lee said you can use your wheel wrench on them too if the wings are still there.
