#1: Aero wipers, how can i make them touch my windscreen totally Author: LWhite92, Location: Chelmsford, EssexPosted: Wed Feb 22, 2012 4:58 am ---- Have bought a set of new aero wipers but the driver's side one doesn't actually stay against my windscreen the whole way to the end of the blade. It lifts off where the windscreen starts to curve away from it towards the edge.
Anyone else found this?
It's clearing less on my windscreen than my old style wipers and thought these were meant to be better...

The fact they do a better job on the rest of the screen, don't judder when there isn't much water on the glass and they look smart makes them a lot better!

For Aero flat blades you need 21" both sides
#6: Re: Aero wipers, how can i make them touch my windscreen totally Author: r1ch, Location: LeicesterPosted: Wed Feb 22, 2012 6:02 am ---- yup i have 21" on both. the blades are the right size, its just that they hover off the windscreen at the ends about an inch.

#8: Re: Aero wipers, how can i make them touch my windscreen totally Author: Dabamash, Location: The car in frontPosted: Wed Feb 22, 2012 6:54 am ---- Tape a brick to the end of it. Should weigh it down.
Jokes aside, it annoys me as well, but I've learned to live with it.

I need a new set, I might try this on my old ones and see what it does instead of chopping a brand new set!
#11: Re: Aero wipers, how can i make them touch my windscreen totally Author: james180, Location: NottinghamPosted: Wed Feb 22, 2012 8:05 am ---- Ive done it to a few sets before its very easy, i just used a junior hack saw.
#12: Re: Aero wipers, how can i make them touch my windscreen totally Author: michaelbishop, Location: IrelandPosted: Wed Feb 22, 2012 8:09 am ---- does it look odd seeing as one end is longer than the other?
#13: Re: Aero wipers, how can i make them touch my windscreen totally Author: Lewis, Location: Isle Of WightPosted: Wed Feb 22, 2012 8:55 am ---- i got a 26" for the passenger a 19" for the driver side. Dont have any over hang on the driver side.

Its a known design issue due to the curve of the windscreen & the way the wiper blades are set up.
405 used to do exactly the same but on the passenger side.
