Whistling

Hi guy i am a bit confused so today i was coming home from work and for the first time with out no music due to blown fuse and noticed that in 5th gear at round 70 there is a whistling noise cAnt say where its coming from it just sounds like one of them old fashion kettles that whistle when there redy but is only in 5th gear as tryed 70mPh in 4th any ideas guys

Check the gearbox oil level would be an idea.

You mean its the gear box whinning cause the box is low on oil

It maybe, 5th is always the first gear that starts being noisy when the box is run low on oil.

Actually it is possible because when i changed wisebone on passenger side the d/s slipped out a bit and the gear box did a little wee on floor but did not seem a lot but just chuck it in to garage and change the oil to freshen it up

Just get the gearbox oil from any Peugeot / Citroen main dealer & change it yourself.

The correct gearbox oil is less then £8.
