#1: South West Meet Needed *Updated* Author: MattyP, Location: PlymouthPosted: Mon Feb 27, 2012 12:30 pm ---- Now that we're moving into spring and it's getting slightly warmer we should be organising some meets soon, anyone interested in going, you want to list ideal locations of where to go and what day is best for everyone.
I have a few locations but there in plymouth itself and are not any superstore car parks, best day for me is any sunday
Date for meet will be 01/04/12, time tbc

A few places around Dartmoor/Exmoor are nice. Very nice backdrops for photos.
Maybe around Cheddar Gorge? That is nice this time of year, and may get a few more info'ers coming from Bristol/Swindon way

Same with us, we both use the car daily. Martin has done all of the painting, and I normally do all of the cleaning and audio wiring.
So do you Craig drive the CC too? Or just do bits and peices to it?

Just a cheapie Chinese special, but got me about for a year... Sold it to Martins Stepdad and he got another 3 years use out of it.

The Mk1 Golf was lovely.
That hideous modified Punto (I assume that is the one you mean) may have had connections with Swindon. We only had it for a short while, we swapped it in Broadstairs, Kent and got rid of it in Guildford.
I don't know where it went from there, but a few months later I got a letter from the Police in the post saying that the car had been in a hit and run and they were trying to trace the owner.
It had a Twin Centre exhaust (very loud) and most of the rear bumper was full of unsanded, unpainted filler.... Does that ring any bells?

But it may have had more work done on it!
Planning to keep the GTi, but we have planned to keep preety much every car we have owned! We have never spent as much money modifying a car as we have done with this GTi, so who knows!

We have brought 3 times on HP, each car has been faulty and had to be returned. Wouldn't buy from a car dealer again!
I know what you are saying about dis-honest eBay sellers though. It is so annoying to buy something, having it turn up and be useless, then you try to claim on Paypal, and they take no notice
