No Moonstone anything. It probably comes under blue if that's the main colour listed on the logbook.

#214: Re: How Rare is my 206? Author: Green206Scotland, Posted: Sat May 30, 2015 3:30 pm ---- 193 PEUGEOT 206 GTI GREEN 177 - Just bought my first 206 GTI turns out its pretty rare! Happy with that.
#215: Re: How Rare is my 206? Author: Ross74H, Location: HertfordshirePosted: Mon Sep 14, 2015 5:12 pm ---- According to that list my car is 1 of 1!!!
Can't see a 206 SW HDi DTurbo listed!
#216: Re: How Rare is my 206? Author: Carlos_WR1, Posted: Tue Sep 15, 2015 1:39 pm ---- That list doesnt take into consideration options though. Mines a Black 206 GTi so there's circa 2500 of them however i have the factory sat nav in the glove box and factory sun roof so i would have thought a lot rarer than 2500.
#217: Re: How Rare is my 206? Author: dan_206, Location: Bury St EdmundsPosted: Wed Sep 16, 2015 12:00 pm ---- Seeing as though this was as of 5 yrs ago I was interested again. Had a quick check on howmanyleft.co.uk for the 180s. According to the original there were 2528 180's registered. Now there is 1774 registered on road and further 266 SORN. 500 gone in just over 5 yrs!! Unfortunately they don't specify on how many in each colour.
#218: Re: How Rare is my 206? Author: forbeslongden, Posted: Mon Apr 08, 2024 6:50 pm ---- I've got a December 1998 1.1 L on an S reg which seem to be getting thin on the ground these days, I mean, yeah most 206 models are dying off quickly but the early cars aren't coveted it seems!

This looks like one of the firsts that rolled off Ryton's belt in 1998. And naturally, the Internet (and as always the Wikipedia) all disagree about the dates of the beginning of the 206 in Europe and UK:)
Especially with your car being a living proof, the media probably gets lost "in production, launched, and first registrations" terms:)

It certainly seems to be produced very early as I have the options sheet here for it from the factory issued on 05/10/1998 at 14.31pm, crazy to think that being a flagship new model for Peugeot, the L spec didn't even have central locking or electric windows! I do love it though, aside from the really rough paint, it's still a real looker all these years later.
