Can someone tell me what the distance between the chassis rails is please, still in Cyprus so can't measure it myself. Looking at fitting a Mk3 Golf radiator and need to know if it'll fit. Cheers

Back from Cyprus and ready to crack on with the car. Unfortunately the weather here in norfolk is awful...
In other news, I've just registered for the 2015 Tricolore Trophy:
trackattackraceclub.co...ason_id=25
It's a step up in competition compared to what I normally do, should have some good battles with the hordes of Clio's! They've just introduced a Production 206 class, but I have to enter Class A due to the throttle bodies and coilovers.

Had the gearbox out and rebuilt by Addaz, with a 4.52 cwp and a 3J plate-diff. Need to check the clutch condition before putting the box back in. Can't wait to se how much it improves the car this season! First race is 11th April @ Rockingham

Testing the car on Wednesday at Snetterton on an evening trackday. Need to test the new gearbox, cooling system, scrub in some new tyres (giving the Nankangs a go) and hopefully give some mates a passenger ride, I've even fitted a passenger seat for the first time.
Assuming all goes well, first race is Saturday 12th @ Rockingham, where we'll see how the 206 compares to the horde of Clio's.

Really enjoyed my first weekend with TARC, although some nicer weather would have been better for qualifying... Pretty happy with 5th on the grid, considering I hate the wet, haven't driven the 206 in the wet since 2012 and haven't raced at Rock since 2008.

Race 1
m.youtube.com/watch?v=MvQHum3j56A
Got a reasonable start, first few laps were a steep learning curve as I tried to adapt braking and gear change points from the wet qually. Ended up in a fairly lonely 5th place, I was having to take it easy on the brakes as they weren't liking turn 2 and I was getting oil specks on the screen (dipstick had popped out) so I was short shifting. I could see a Clio 172 closing in my rear view mirror so I upped the pace in the last 2 laps to make sure he couldn't get close enough to pass.

Race 2

Great start, got up the inside of the Class B 205 into 4th place. Managed to hold that until the safety car pulled off on lap 3, whereupon I went straight on at turn 2 again! Pretty soon after that the car started to bog down on long left handers and it was at that point I realised I hadn't put any fuel in between race 1 & 2... First DNF of the year Rolling Eyes School boy error.

So, a good day with a disappointing end, but at least the car's in one piece and I've seen where it fits into the series. Roll on Brands Hatch Smile

Awesome! Looks very good, shame about the fuel issue ^^

Wish the camera did not over light the view in front of the car. Now it's kinda hard to watch =(
(My GoPro has 'Spotmeter' to solve that problem)

Keep up the good work, you should post more info and pics!

Some good footage and some great racing bar the fuel issue!
Do please keep us all posted throughout the season if you don't mind, definitely looking forward to seeing how you get on and hoping you kick a few clios to the kerb on the way Thumb Up

I live near Kings Lynn so that would be me. No idea what a Pluriel is though?

Sorry about the overexposure of the video, it's because it points down into the car a little bit. I can point it straight at the windscreen but then I can't see what gear I've got selected on the video footage afterwards. I'd like to fit a rear view camera too.
