sorry to hijack the thread, but i just got a quote from my local pug dealer for my pulley @ 67.50 plus the vat, he put his discount on it, im sure this is cheap

sound about right as there is cheap one's on bay but im sure there's a uprated one as its one of the 2.0 HDi's faults.

when mine went not long after i got the car it sound as if the crank bearings were gone , first thought it was a tensoner or a roller so removed aux belt and started the car but the knocking was still there so replaced the crank pully and its been fine since.

Do they make a difference?
I heard they can break at the join.

Looking at mine it seems to be a solid one and it's slightly wonky after 100K Km.
