I don't know where this belong so feel free to move it.

Basically my friend is a qualified mechanic and has been involved with working on cars from a young age as his dad runs a garage. I want to spread the word of his services as he does a good job.

To completely lower a 206 including fitting of lowering springs, front and rear dampers and torsion bar adjustment he asks for just £140. He does torsion bars the proper way and none of his work lacks attention to detail or care, literally the only guy I trust to work on my car

He will also work on brakes, servicing, belts, rear axle conversionss etc - if you are interested in any work please PM me, he can travel to locations in the West Mids county or work on his location

Cheers

A lot of the work is on his driveway but his dad's garage is 30 seconds up the road, based near Dudley

This.
A local garage charged me £170 to lower my old Corsa, that was a few years back, bet they'd charge £200+ easy now.

Did he?... It was £100 to fit your supplied shocks and springs AND to adjust the torsion bars. £140 still not to bad tho

What brand of springs and dampers does he recommend for a 1.4
From his experience?

From my own experience with Apex springs and dampers I would not buy them again, glad I got them so cheap. I liked them at first but I've realised the ride is harsh considering its only a mild drop. I will be going for Eibach springs with Bilstein dampers next, pretty much the recommendation echoing round here

No but you worked on your own car and I'm assuming you probably know the garage staff well.. I doubt you'd do a stranger's torsion bar for free! Razz
