drl headlights wiring and cleaning???

has 5 wires coming out back do i literally just cut the old ones and replace? also how do i remove the front cover so i clean the lens inside

sounds like the plug has been chopped. The 5 wires are likely 3 to the h4 plug, and 2 for the ignition feed.

to clean the inside you will need to pry the lens off. I.e puit in over or hair dryer it to soften the glue then get heavy with something like a knife or a flat head screw driver or a scalpel. Smile

I know what he means he has asked before, basically he has some Audi r8 style headlights and wants to know how to wire the up.

 


same as these but chrome

to take the plastic cover off to clean them you have to place them in the do this oven to warm the glue up and then pull it off, I had to do this with my angel headlights its a pain in yhe a**e and wouldn't advise it to be honest

you just need to pull off the old connector mate

if you like seeing the road ahead i wouldnt buy after market headlights there nothing but trouble

headlights are best modifed but standard Angle Eyes and R8 look alikes are more hassel then worth. if you like none oem lights then buy some morrettes

I agree! Crystals are best by far, morettes are not as good but it's a nice oem upgrade.

I had angel eyes in chrome and the output was doo doo even with expensive bulbs. Couldn't see a man out for a walk in the pitch black roads. All I could see was his torch he had facing the ground(thought it was a UFO)

think thats bad i had to rebuild my front end thanks to my old angel eyes hit a fox on the M1 on the way to Modified Live Snetterton! i mean wtf! got there and had to park it backwards so no one would notice
