as has been said parting a car out is not as easy as it sounds hrs and bloody hrs emailing then trying to post it all.
thats without the timewasters and then those that say the parts turned up broken when you know they were fine when you sent them.

so very true as its not a 5 min job to do.
i have done a few in the past and tbh never again my time is worth more than the few quid extra you get from parting it out, but if you got nothing else to do then yes you can make a few quid on the side.

It would be a shame to split it as it's in good nick. I would put it on pistonheads (free) and see how much intrest you get look on eBay,auto trader to see what they go for then just sell it at what the Market price,

unless your getting a 2nd 206 you could use some parts for spears/upgrades and makes some money on the way?

If you get £200 more to break it and it takes any more than 40 hours to strip, wrap and post it all out then you don't really value your time much. Fiver an hour, woop woop.

Working out the numbers I got to the following:

Sell the car whole= £1200-1400 as it stands
Break the car = £2100+ using rough prices as outlined below not including all the other little bits and bobs

Wheels £250
Bonnet £50
Engine £200
Arbs £80
Rear lights £40
Headlights £50
Front bumper £50
Rear bumper £40
Steering wheel £40
Seats £250
Pedals £10
Doorcards+Glovebox lid £150
Handbrake £15
Speedo surround £50
Gear knob £15
Mirrors + switch £80
Wings £80 pair
Boot strip £20
Spoiler £50
Gearbox £80
Arch liners £20
Vent sliders? £10
Radio & Cd changer £60
Climate unit £40
PPT40 £40
Doors £40 each
Tailgate £35
Comm2000 £35
Rear axle £100

So as you can see it almost makes sense to break it.

What are your thoughts?
