#125: Re: **Spike's Project**update-pg6** Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 11:58 am ---- Thanks harry come over and say hi lol, depends on the weather mainely.
Edward: Personal prefferance mate I'm just saying glad I decided to have them put on as it looks a evil now, I also utilised the standard rad so no need to buy an aftermarket/outher makes rad as the standard one fits spot on. I can say the elec pas is alot better than belt pump.
#126: Re: **Spike's Project**update-pg6** Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 12:44 pm ---- I will drop you a text if I can't find you mate
#127: Re: **Spike's Project**update-pg6** Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 12:51 pm ---- What pump have you used? You used the standard radiator but fitted longer trumpets too?
#128: Re: **Spike's Project**update-pg6** Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 2:02 pm ---- A 106 pump and yes standard rad with 80mm trumpets I'll post some pics ina bit

#132: Re: **Spike's Project**update-pg9** Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 3:48 pm ---- Looks neat enough but I wouldn't want the lower cross member cutting. I like the deep box for the filter.
So the steering is lighter is it?
#133: Re: **Spike's Project**update-pg9** Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 4:05 pm ---- It hasent been cut Paul a custom bracket bolts to the crossmember then the rad is bolted to that it's also a tad higher than the bumper so is by far high enuf for day to day use I.e speed bumps ect.
And I think it feels a more positive feel when turning, no slack when turning the wheel I don't know why they took so long to Introduce it. It also feels more punchy mid range and picks up alot quicker.
Also will have a custom fabricated sheet under the intake to force air into the filter when I have my badgeless grill I'll be getting rid of the top mesh.
#134: Re: **Spike's Project**update-pg9** Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sun Jun 17, 2012 3:46 am ---- Good stuff...I wonder if any sort of vent could be put in the nose of the bonnet to let air flow in easier...
#135: Re: **Spike's Project**update-pg9** Author: spike_202, Location: West midsPosted: Sun Jun 17, 2012 11:16 am ---- I'd rather it to be fixed to the car and go up underneath the filter I think that would be easyer for my application
Good time at fcs shame about the weather but still had the bonnet up for all to see when it did stop also nice to see some familiar faces again, only problem of the day I blew a fuse in the elec pas supply as it was fitted with a 30a and should be a 40a to allow for the start up voltage. Wish all problems were as easy as that lol
