#1: airbag light flashing Author: anton1989, Location: west midlandsPosted: Sat May 12, 2012 3:06 pm ---- Been out allday in my car, including some motorway driving, on my home the airbag light started flashing, what could this be?
I turned the ignition off the started it again the light came on and went off like normal then after about 2 minutes of driving the light started flashing again?
it's a y reg 1.1

whats the clock spool? Under which airbag? Steering wheel or dash

Its next to the fuse box box on drivers side.

Mine was under the airbag on the steering wheel.

Only had the car a few weeks so not sure where to start, I have the MOT coming up in a month or so,
If it is flashing at time of MOT - Will it FAIL ?

YES.
It also wont deploy in the event of an accident if the light is flashing / on all the time.
A 206 of this age its most likely the rotary spool gone faulty BUT without testing the srs system your not going to get a 100% concrete answer.
