#1: Project Devanification Author: Mephisto, Location: ScotlandPosted: Mon May 21, 2012 8:22 am ---- Hi,
I recently got my hands on a 1.4hdi van and have decided to smarten it up a bit.
The van itself was in kinna horrible condition, it had the worst blue interior and blue plastic gear stick gaiters...it had to go asap.
I have decided that since im gonna spend my time looking at the interior that it will be the first thing to get sorted. So I ripped out the interior and have replaced it with a GTI one,i'd put up pics but you have all seen what an interior looks like. I was gonna clad the centre console in Alcantara but decided just to get a GTI one from Ebay.
I am now moving onto upgrading my ICE, just replace the rear speakers with some cheap Alpines that I got for a Tenner from Halfrauds. just for a bit of infill and I am still trying to decide on speakers, so far Im thinking about ,JBL or Infinity...Not gonna spend big bucks because I just got paid off..
I am really struggling to decide so any advice would be great!
As for the exterior all I have so far is a roof spoiler, but am planning to get rid of the towbar and replace the black plastic bumpers with some sport ones and probably some Nimrod alloys.
I will probably keep the car white but will be looking to jazz it up with some colour accents...ooohh la la
I'll put some pics up when I start on the body work...
All advice will be welcome!

#15: Re: Project Devanification Author: Mephisto, Location: ScotlandPosted: Tue May 22, 2012 9:06 am ---- So today I have ripped off the rubbing strips and started to paint them, they'll be white... all I need now is new clips since I bust them all..oh well.. In next few days I think Ill strip the bumpers off and give the car a right good machine to see what condition the paint is, no way can I afford a full respray.
I have also been working on my shopping list..So PM me with prices if you have anything you'd like to donate!
Sport Bumpers
Alloys
Rear Lights ( I like the look of these www.carparts-tuning.co...r-red.html thanks kurosagi01 )
SP Arch extensions
Head unit
Alloy filler cap
I've been thinking about spraying my wing mirrors a nice sparkley black, but not sure as I am thinking about what colour to do the wheels. I might go for black eventually, with a red stripe on the lip...ah decisions decisions.
I saw the picture on "the how to ICE page" of the white 206, and that has given me something to aspire too!
#16: Re: Project Devanification Author: Mephisto, Location: ScotlandPosted: Wed May 23, 2012 2:48 pm ---- I've been a very busy boy today, after a tip off that their was a GTI in the local scrap yard I made a bee line to them the first thing this morning. So after a few hrs dismantling I came away with Sports bumpers, Nimrods, Various bolts I needed and an alloy filler cap, alloy door handles and a couple of bits n bobs. Well chuffed!
So when I got home the postie had also been and left my nice new speakers too, result. So with all this going on I decided to paint my wing mirrors and the turned out pretty good if I don't say so myself. I ended up going gloss black n white. I also primed my rubbing strips too!
I think tomorrow I'm gonna get stuck into my alloys, although they are in pretty good condition there are a few curb marks on the rim, so I think ill sand just the rim and give them a wee spray with silver... Good times!
Thanks to everyone who offered me stuff, but I was impatient and it was an opportunity I couldn't miss!
I'll be on beans n toast for the next month! Last edited by Mephisto on Wed May 23, 2012 2:55 pm; edited 1 time in total

#20: Re: Project Devanification Author: Mephisto, Location: ScotlandPosted: Sun Jun 03, 2012 11:03 am ---- Been a very busy boy today, shockingly enough no drama or difficult bolts to remove. The hardest bit was unscrewing the tow bar, but after some serious elbow grease managed to get it off...Behold the fruits of my labour!!
Those effin bolts..
Onto the front bumper, a wee read of the how to really helped..thanks
Painted mirrors added
Back bumper went on easily too ( thanks How to..)
The final look....
My to do list is
a. Fix the puncture in the rear
b. Major wash/Wax/Polish
b. Get a roof spoiler
c.SP arches
d. Gen 2 Lights
Then Ill be happy..oh just need the leather steering wheel fitted

#24: Re: Project Devanification Author: Mephisto, Location: ScotlandPosted: Sun Jun 17, 2012 1:43 pm ---- A little bit done today, carbon fibred the door pillars and stuck a spoiler on, the last thing to do is the SP arches, which are drying as we speak. It'll be all done by next week...just need to do some detailing on it and it'll be ready to hit the minty highway!
