As a temporary solution to keep the seat from sliding back & forth, if you remove the plastic side skirt panel from the seat you will then see a spring loaded mechanism. If you manually press down the spring loaded mechanism it will lock the seat onto the runner. You can still adjust the seat using the lever at the front of the seat and it will stay locked to the runner until you drop the backrest forward to allow rear passengers.
