#1: Cleaned the 180 Author: JamieM, Posted: Wed Jun 20, 2012 2:35 pm ---- Spent a good 8 hrs in total on cleaning/ polishing ect the car, everything was cleaned :).
Sorry for quality just uploaded them from my iphone straight to flickr!
That's all 44k of her!
I also gave her an oil change & fitted the stock airbox to test to see if it feels any different, I did notice a difference which was confirmed by the girlfriend who is also abit of a petrol head. I never told her I swapped them around and there isn't any sound difference and I let her use the car for a few days, by day 2 she said to me she thinks the car needs a service because it seems to have developed like turbo lag and loss of urgency through revs. (she knows it hasn't got a turbo it was the only way she could explain it) That's good enough for me lol
Anyway soooo back on it went and I won't be fitting the stock one again! I've currently got two stock 180 airboxes lol (one from my previous one)

Thanks guys
@Razpulsedj
Thanks mate
Snow foam is great for breaking down grime before you hit it with your washing method. The foam suds soak in to the dirt and grime and loosen it and also will drag some off.
Once you pressure wash the foam off you will be left with a better base to start with which will help prevent swirls it's definitely worth it. Plus it looks cool as fck lol.
My car really needs a propper machine polish to remove swirls but the paint is in good condition
@Jay794
Danke'
@E5GDM
Lol thanks Gary
@Icetto
All purpose cleaner, I choose daisey from Tescos but when not on a budget use Meguairs
APC to get rid of surface dust and grime build up.
I use Megz Next Gen metal polish on metals and Auto Sol
My trusty detailing brush set and cloths
For plastics I use Meguairs Endurance gel, and wipe excess so it doesn't appear sticky and let dust stick to it.
For any painted items I treat them like I do the outside because I'm sad, so a bowl of Megs Gold class shampoo to clean, rinse them and back on a layer
of DodoJuice Blue Velvet and some Red mist sealant.
It's all about attention to detail, you will never do it all in a day if you haven't done it for years, have a hardcore day on it cleaning every single thing in eye shot.
After this, keep on top of it and add things to your cleaning list and over time you have a very clean bay.
I hope this waffle helps lol.
@Big_Rich180
Thank you sir'
@shell-vt
Thanks Shell, the only annoying thing are stone chips,
it's got them on the bumper and bonnet but so did my last 180,
I want to get it painted but know it will get ruined on the first motorway journey lol Last edited by JamieM on Thu Jun 21, 2012 8:25 am; edited 1 time in total

Only thing with my paintwork is that I have swirls everywhere, the previous owner must have taken to car wash all the time, I have hand washed using a wash mitt and 2 bucket method and still find new marks, FML! So now I'll get some of this and have a go cheers! Hear it smells amazing too

Depends on what snow foam,
My first ever experience was with some rank smelling shiz haha
PH Nuetral smells alright lol
My car also has swirls I just haven't got the money to fork out on compounds ect ect ect and tbh it needs some wet sanding after the bodyshop recently got at it! I have orange peel they said they couldn't do anything about it.
LIARS
Most wouldn't care but I do! I know it's there and it p**ses me off!
Anywhoo eventually, I will probably pay someone to detail the car for me, I can do it myself but as I won't wet sand it I may aswell pay someone. Won't be for a while though as I'm skint + want to take it to RSTuning for a map haha
