#1: crankshaft pulley Author: markysparky71, Location: northumberlandPosted: Sat Jun 30, 2012 9:18 am ---- advice needed to remove crankshaft pulley !! tried leaving in gear with handbrake on still just turning engine and dragging back wheels! is there any way to lock the flywheel to stop engine turning ? have thought of removing starter motor but acess is grim !!thought this would be easy job any ideas? its a 14hi

There are other ways BUT I dont feel confident sharing on here as it could lead to serious injury / damage if carried out incorrectly / somethings goes wrong.

It's on the sump side of the gearbox a few inches up. Can't remember the bolt size, might be 10mm, but once you've found it a bit of trial and error should work.
