#1: how to debadge front grill Author: nas123, Location: oldhamPosted: Wed Jul 11, 2012 3:49 am ---- Hi I am looking to debadge my front grill on my peygeot , I have 2 spare grills and looking to debadge, just wondering what's the best way to debadge the grill and how, also I have Ben told I can fill the hole using body filler and what's the best filler to use. Failing that some fibreglass behind should hold it. You would then need to filler the gaps and smooth it off.
The bonnet recess would need to be welded up and lightly skimmed with filler. If you just fill it with filler it will crack and drop off. Try a search a few people have debadged their grilles.

Also I did try to attempt to fill the hole on grill, did a great job until the sides came aprt from filler, so now I have just knocked out the filler out of the grill and looking to start again

If you are unsure how to weld you would need to get a bodyshop to do it.

It then needs plastic welding together. I think this can be done using a soldering iron. It basically means you need to melt it together. You will then need to skim over it with a light covering of filler. And sand it back smooth.
