Hi I am looking to debadge my front grill on my peygeot , I have 2 spare grills and looking to debadge, just wondering what's the best way to debadge the grill and how, also I have Ben told I can fill the hole using body filler and what's the best filler to use. Thanks

I would cut a piece from the other grille and plastic weld it in place of the badge. Failing that some fibreglass behind should hold it. You would then need to filler the gaps and smooth it off.

The bonnet recess would need to be welded up and lightly skimmed with filler. If you just fill it with filler it will crack and drop off. Try a search a few people have debadged their grilles.

Forgot to mention I have looked up debadging grill a lot and not find hardly any information. Also I did try to attempt to fill the hole on grill, did a great job until the sides came aprt from filler, so now I have just knocked out the filler out of the grill and looking to start again

Have you left the badge in place and filled it over? I was thinking you meant to make a grille like this item.mobileweb.ebay.co...8371749453

If you are unsure how to weld you would need to get a bodyshop to do it.

My grill is standard I have taken the badge of them and that's all, but I want it to look like that, I have been folded that they don't look clever then the ones that have been filled in

If you have two grilles you need to cut a piece from the spare grille that will fit between the two halves where your badge used to be. It then needs plastic welding together. I think this can be done using a soldering iron. It basically means you need to melt it together. You will then need to skim over it with a light covering of filler. And sand it back smooth.

Ok thanks for that, would it not just be easy filling the whole with body filler, overlaping it slightly on eachside then smoothing it out

If you fill too big hole with body filler it will just crack. Filler is only for filling minor blemishes and dents.

Don't want much do you?? Just but one, it'll be cheaper than buying all the stuff anyway.
