#1: Heater vents Author: DanT, Location: Torbay, EnglandPosted: Thu Jul 12, 2012 4:59 pm ---- Hi, got a slight issue with my drivers side heater vent, when i bought the car it had a cheapy phone holder stuck into it, which seems to have slightly damaged the directional mechanism part. I'm wondering is the inner vent part itself removable or do i have to replace the whole thing, ie the surround etc. As my car is a Gti 180 it has different surround etc and wanted to know if i could just get the inner vent part from any model 206?
Thanks a lot. Dan.

My guess is that one of the pins has snapped off. It would probs be best and easiest to just change the whole vent. It will only cost you £3-4 from the scrappy.

Cheers i figured it was that sort of set up but just wanted to check before i go and remove one from a car. As long as i can change the vent itself and keep the surround i'm happy!
