Thanks mate its getting there slowly
As of today 12 months m.o.t no advisories, had failed originally on headlight aim but i had a feeling that was going to happen, 5 mins later sorted!
#48: Re: Aegean Blue GTi 180 - Small update 19/01/13 Author: DanT, Location: Torbay, EnglandPosted: Wed May 01, 2013 2:18 pm ---- Minor update, been looking for SP arches for months, now ive ended up with 7 brand new ones. 4 have rubbers and clips too so im proper chuffed! Got a good deal from the dealers on those 4 and a friend of the old man had another 3 so snapped those up!
Other than that not a lot to report, couple pictures of during and after cleaning for now
Any comments welcome as usual!

#53: Re: Aegean Blue GTi 180 - Update 1/5/13 Author: DanT, Location: Torbay, EnglandPosted: Sun May 19, 2013 6:03 am ---- I took the arches to work and painted them in the week, so i've fitted them now and they're growing on me each time i look at them
Next up is some spacers and that will allow me to lower the front the extra 10mm i wanted.
Comments welcome as usual!
Quick pic i snapped the other day

just a heads up on the spacers you will need to move the clip at the very top of the arches as the wheel just catches here got very slight rubbing on mine there and its pulled that clip off on one side so I moved the other one around a bit and its fine now

Thanks buddy its getting there! Nah no scrubbing at the back, the front did just touch the front arch liner when i fitted the spacers and lowered it more, but raised it up a couple of mm and no scrubbing anywhere now

Oh cool well that's good then! Can't wait to see some more pics.
But why the hell is mine scrubbing then? lol or is that just because its only the standard Sport suspension (GTi setup I think ?) and so not as stiff?

Cars going on a stand at modified mania sunday so will try and get some up to date pictures then
Erm which wheels are you running? Im running the vortex wheels on 3mm spacers all round and hankook v12 evo tyres in 205/40/17 all round. And where abouts on the arch does it catch?
