#1: Thieving b******s @ Ecosse. Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sun Aug 05, 2012 7:40 am ---- When Ecosse fitted the bodies etc to my car they kept hold of the old manifold etc for a few weeks. All the old bits - pulleys, manifold etc were then posted to me.
I queried why the manifold was missing the Bosch MAP sensor. I dont need it but it's mine at the end of the day. Just seen the price of these at Euro Car Parts. £127! No wonder they took it.
Yet another dodgy trick they pulled.

What was their answer as to why it wasn't sent back?
#3: Re: Thieving b******s @ Ecosse. Author: Seabook, Posted: Sun Aug 05, 2012 7:45 am ---- should ask for it
#4: Re: Thieving b******s @ Ecosse. Author: Matt, Posted: Sun Aug 05, 2012 7:45 am ---- Surely they will have to send it on to you or replace it if they have "lost" it.
They're not exactly cheap are they haha.

I was ignored.
This was on top of the inclusion of the cost for removing the cylinder head to fit cams which they said wouldn't require machining of valve cut outs in the pistons.
So if valve cut outs didnt need machining why quote for removing the head?
Numpties.
In the end the pistons did need machining (as I had already told them) but they forgot the cost of machining them on the quote: £200.
Machining of pistons does not cost £200. But because they took so long to do the job they reduced the cost of machining down to £100. So basically they knocked nothing off at all.
I'm going to predict the end of Ecosse in the coming years. There are fewer and fewer Peugeots worth modifying...

Good luck in resolving it with them
#8: Re: Thieving b******s @ Ecosse. Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sun Aug 05, 2012 9:38 am ---- Doesnt need resolving now. It's been two years I've had any dealings with them.
