Stiff NS front wheel (GTI 180)

Hi Guys,
Is there anybody out there who could shed some light on the issue I am having with a stiff near side front wheel.

Here’s the background story.
I recently noticed the near side front wheel doesn’t spin very freely (or less freely then the offside front wheel) when jacked up and its feels stiff when driving. Given I’ve changed most of my callipers I thought it must be time for this calliper to be changed so we went ahead and changed the calliper. Driving the car afterwards it didn’t feel as stiff but after a day or two the stiffness returned. So next up we went and changed the calliper bolts thinking one may have got slightly bent, these were stiff sliding in and out even with lube on them (turned out the new ones were even stiffer!). Sadly that didn’t cure it so we went and changed the brake pipe just in case it had collapsed inside and wasn’t releasing the pressure sufficiently after braking. This still didn’t cure it so we thought it could be a minor warp in the brake disc so we swapped the discs over and bugger me it’s still not spinning as freely as the offside side wheel.

Does anybody out there have any suggestion on what it could be?

An issue with the master cylinder has been suggested but if this is the case wouldn’t it affect all the brakes?

Cheers

exactly the same issue i had on the mk4, changed caliper after caliper, to find out that the hydraulic clutch and brake fluid was well over due a change, caused a lot of muck and condensation water to build up after a lot of heavy / continuous braking. cost me more in the end as it needed new lines, calipers, pads, helicoil on the knuckle after constant over heating due to binding and oil change & bleed.

It's serviced regularly by a peugeot dealer so i would assume all the fluids are ok (don't know if brake fluid gets changed in thier service schedule btw).

So i should look at changing the hydraulic clutch and brake fluid then?

Cheers
