Whats it like with this removed? do you get lots of soot? and where is best place to get the car electronics changed to run with out a dpf?
Does that make sense?

You need the DPF removing from the EDC16
You need the DPF turning off in the BSI and telling it the Eloys has been topped up
Remove the DPF filter and fit a straight through pipe and d/c the sensors.

RS Tuning should do it all for you and they are based in Leeds..ergh

great, i have sent them an email as its not far from me. Just waiting a reply or i may ring them next week. Will the car run ok with the fap removed? i read some where that the first gear has a boost contoller that is no longer there when the fap is reomoved. is that right?

Out of interest- if anyone knows, do RS tuning have to adjust the boost? I was looking in to getting it done on my C4 VTS HDI but there is little information on doing it to the 2.0 engines.
However, I had heard that removing the DPF can cause boost spikes???

Well thats out of the window! rs want nearly £400 and thats with out the pipe or fitting of 1. Mas performance want £250 to do the fap electronical deletes if i can get a pipe fitted myslf.

How much did you think it was going to be? It's not a quick 2minute job.

From what I have read, it would be well worth it. Saves future hassle, think of it as an investment.
